He said to them,“ Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?

耶稣又对他们说：“人拿灯来，岂是要放在斗底下，床底下，不放在灯台上吗？

耶稣又对他们说：“人拿灯来，难道是要放在斗底下，床底下，而不放在灯台上吗？

耶稣继续说：“人会把灯拿来放在篮子底下或床底下吗？当然不会，他一定会把它放在灯台上。

耶稣又对他们说：“灯难道是拿来放在量器底下或床底下的吗？它不是该放在灯台上吗？

耶稣又对他们说：“油灯拿进来，难道是为了放在斗底下，或床底下吗？不是为了放在灯台上吗？

耶穌又對他們說：「人拿燈來，豈是要放在斗底下，牀底下，不放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌又對他們說：「人拿燈來，難道是要放在斗底下，床底下，而不放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌又對他們說：「人拿燈來，難道是要放在斗底下，床底下，而不放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌繼續說：「人會把燈拿來放在籃子底下或床底下嗎？當然不會，他一定會把它放在燈臺上。

耶穌又對他們說：“燈難道是拿來放在量器底下或床底下的嗎？它不是該放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌對他們說：『燈來了，哪是要放在斗底下或床底下呢？不是要放在燈臺上麼？

耶穌又對他們說：「油燈拿進來，難道是為了放在斗底下，或床底下嗎？不是為了放在燈臺上嗎？

又曰、人攜燈豈置斗下牀下乎、非檠上耶、

耶穌又曰、人以燈至、豈置斗下床下耶、非置之臺上耶、

耶穌又謂之曰、人取燈來、豈為置於斗下床下、非為置於燈臺乎、

耶穌又謂其徒曰：『人之燃燈、將置之斗中、床下乎？抑置於燈臺之上乎？

He said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?

Jesus said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a large bowl or a bed? Don’t you put it on its stand?

And he said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?

Then Jesus asked them,“ Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And He was saying to them,“ A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, or under a bed, is it? Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand?

Also He said to them,“ Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is the lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be put on the stand?

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

He also said to them,“ A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.

“ No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.

“ No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

“ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you.For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate, but rather giving of thanks.Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.Therefore don’t be partakers with them.For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them.For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.Therefore he says,“ Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I didn’t run in vain nor labor in vain.

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.
