He also said to them,“ A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

耶稣继续说：“人会把灯拿来放在篮子底下或床底下吗？当然不会，他一定会把它放在灯台上。

耶稣又对他们说：“灯难道是拿来放在量器底下或床底下的吗？它不是该放在灯台上吗？

耶稣又对他们说：“油灯拿进来，难道是为了放在斗底下，或床底下吗？不是为了放在灯台上吗？

耶穌又對他們說：「人拿燈來，豈是要放在斗底下，牀底下，不放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌繼續說：「人會把燈拿來放在籃子底下或床底下嗎？當然不會，他一定會把它放在燈臺上。

耶穌又對他們說：“燈難道是拿來放在量器底下或床底下的嗎？它不是該放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌對他們說：『燈來了，哪是要放在斗底下或床底下呢？不是要放在燈臺上麼？

耶穌又對他們說：「油燈拿進來，難道是為了放在斗底下，或床底下嗎？不是為了放在燈臺上嗎？

又曰、人攜燈豈置斗下牀下乎、非檠上耶、

耶穌又曰、人以燈至、豈置斗下床下耶、非置之臺上耶、

耶穌又謂之曰、人取燈來、豈為置於斗下床下、非為置於燈臺乎、

耶穌又謂其徒曰：『人之燃燈、將置之斗中、床下乎？抑置於燈臺之上乎？

He said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?

Jesus said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a large bowl or a bed? Don’t you put it on its stand?

And he said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?

Then Jesus asked them,“ Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And He was saying to them,“ A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, or under a bed, is it? Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand?

Also He said to them,“ Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is the lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be put on the stand?

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

He said to them,“ Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?

People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

“ No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a hidden place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see the light.

“ No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in can see the light.

“ Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you!For, look, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the nations, but the LORD shines on you; his splendor appears over you.Nations come to your light, kings to your bright light.

But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints.Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting– all of which are out of character– but rather thanksgiving.For you can be confident of this one thing: that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy( such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience.Therefore do not be partakers with them,for you were at one time darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light–for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth–trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.For the things they do in secret are shameful even to mention.But all things being exposed by the light are made evident.For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says:“ Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”Therefore be very careful how you live– not as unwise but as wise,

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the worldby holding on to the word of life so that on the day of Christ I will have a reason to boast that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.

To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all.
