耶穌對他們說：『燈來了，哪是要放在斗底下或床底下呢？不是要放在燈臺上麼？

耶稣又对他们说：“人拿灯来，岂是要放在斗底下，床底下，不放在灯台上吗？

耶稣继续说：“人会把灯拿来放在篮子底下或床底下吗？当然不会，他一定会把它放在灯台上。

耶稣又对他们说：“灯难道是拿来放在量器底下或床底下的吗？它不是该放在灯台上吗？

耶稣又对他们说：“油灯拿进来，难道是为了放在斗底下，或床底下吗？不是为了放在灯台上吗？

耶穌又對他們說：「人拿燈來，豈是要放在斗底下，牀底下，不放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌繼續說：「人會把燈拿來放在籃子底下或床底下嗎？當然不會，他一定會把它放在燈臺上。

耶穌又對他們說：“燈難道是拿來放在量器底下或床底下的嗎？它不是該放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌又對他們說：「油燈拿進來，難道是為了放在斗底下，或床底下嗎？不是為了放在燈臺上嗎？

又曰、人攜燈豈置斗下牀下乎、非檠上耶、

耶穌又曰、人以燈至、豈置斗下床下耶、非置之臺上耶、

耶穌又謂之曰、人取燈來、豈為置於斗下床下、非為置於燈臺乎、

耶穌又謂其徒曰：『人之燃燈、將置之斗中、床下乎？抑置於燈臺之上乎？

He said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?

Jesus said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a large bowl or a bed? Don’t you put it on its stand?

And he said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?

Then Jesus asked them,“ Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And He was saying to them,“ A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, or under a bed, is it? Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand?

Also He said to them,“ Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is the lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be put on the stand?

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

He also said to them,“ A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

He said to them,“ Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?

『人點燈也不放在斗底下，乃是放在燈臺上，使它照亮所有在家裏的人。

『沒有人點燈、而放在地窨子裏；他總是放在燈臺上，叫走進來的人可以看見光。

『沒有人點了燈、而用器皿遮蓋着、或放在床底下的；他乃是放在燈臺上，讓走進來的人看見了光。

起來，發光哦！因為你的光已經來到，永恆主的榮耀已經昇現照耀着你。因為你看，黑暗遮蓋着大地呢，幽暗籠罩着萬國之民呢；但永恆主卻要昇現照耀着你，他的榮耀必顯現來照着你。萬國必來就你的光，列王必來就你昇現之光輝。

至於淫亂和一切污穢或貪婪，在你們中間連提都不可提，才合乎聖徒的身分。卑鄙的事和愚妄的話、或粗俗的戲笑、都不相宜；相宜的就是感謝的話。因為你們確實地知道：凡是嫖妓或作男倡、或污穢的、或貪婪（就是一種的拜偶像）的、都得不着基業在基督國裏、上帝國裏。別讓人用虛空的話欺騙你們了；因為為了這些事、上帝之義怒正臨到悖逆之人呢。所以別和他們同夥了。因為你們從前是黑暗，如今在主裏乃是光；行事為人總要像光的兒女（光的果子是在於一切的良善、正義、和真誠）。你們要察驗甚麼是主所喜歡的；別一同有分於黑暗之無善果行為了；寧可訐發出來。因為他們隱密中所行的、就是說出來也可恥。但一切事受了訐發、都是被光所顯露；凡被顯露的便是光。所以說：『睡着的人哪，醒起來吧，從死人中復起，基督就光照你了。』所以要仔細留意、你們怎樣地行；不要做無智慧的，總要做有智慧的人。

好使你們無可責備、而又天真，在彎曲乖僻的世代中做上帝的兒女、無瑕無疵；你們顯於其中像發光之體在世界裏，把生命之道舉出來，好等基督的日子做我所誇口的，誇我沒有空跑，也沒有空勞。

不過各人稟受靈之表顯、是要有益於人的。
