好让你们行事为人配得上主，凡事蒙他喜悦，在一切美善的工作中结出果子，在神的真正知识上不断长进。

你们当住在我里面，我就住在你们里面。枝条如果不留在葡萄树上，就不能由自己结出果子；照样，你们如果不住在我里面，你们也是如此。“我就是葡萄树，你们是枝条。那住在我里面、我也在他里面的，他才结出很多果子，因为没有我，你们什么也不能做。

那被撒上种子的‘好土壤’是这样的人：他听了这话语，就领悟了，必然结出果实来，结出的有一百倍的、有六十倍的、有三十倍的。”

那‘好土壤’，是这样的人：他们听了这话语，以诚实美善的心持守它，并且在忍耐中结出果实。

可是另有落进好土壤里的，就发芽、生长，不断地结出果实，结出的有三十倍的、有六十倍的、有一百倍的。”

不是你们拣选了我，而是我拣选了你们，并指派了你们，好使你们去，让你们结出果子，而且使你们的果子长存。这样，你们奉我的名无论向父求什么，他就会赐给你们。

此外，弟兄们，我们在主耶稣里请求你们、劝勉你们：既然从我们学到了该怎样行事为人，怎样讨神的喜悦——就像你们也在行的——你们就要更加努力，

因为你们如果有了这些，并且不断增多这些，它们就会使你们在真正认识我们主耶稣基督的事上，不会成为懒惰的或不结果子的人；

并且充满了那藉着耶稣基督而来的义行果子，归于神的荣耀和称赞。

因此，我的弟兄们，你们藉着基督的身体，在律法上也被处死了，使你们归向另一位，就是从死人中复活的那一位，好让我们能为神结出果子来。

然而，圣灵的果子是：爱心、喜乐、和平、忍耐、仁慈、良善、忠信、温柔、自制。这样的事，没有律法反对。
