Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.For the love of money is the root of all evils. Some people in reaching for it have strayed from the faith and stabbed themselves with many pains.

Command those who are rich in this world’s goods not to be haughty or to set their hope on riches, which are uncertain, but on God who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,because all that is in the world( the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world.And the world is passing away with all its desires, but the person who does the will of God remains forever.

in that he spends the rest of his time on earth concerned about the will of God and not human desires.For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non- Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries.

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

A man who is all alone with no companion, he has no children nor siblings; yet there is no end to all his toil, and he is never satisfied with riches. He laments,“ For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is futile and a burdensome task!

When you gaze upon riches, they are gone, for they surely make wings for themselves, and fly off into the sky like an eagle!

For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.
