And He* said to them,“ Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?

又對他們說：「你們不明白這比喻嗎？這樣怎能明白一切的比喻呢？

耶穌又對他們說：「你們不明白這比喻嗎？這樣怎能明白一切的比喻呢？

耶穌又對他們說：「你們不明白這比喻嗎？這樣怎能明白一切的比喻呢？

耶穌又對他們說：「你們不明白這個比喻，又怎能明白其他比喻呢？

耶穌又對他們說：“你們不明白這個比喻，怎能明白一切比喻呢？

耶穌又對他們說：『你們不曉得這比喻麼？怎能明白一切比喻呢？

耶穌對他們說：「你們不明白這個比喻，又怎麼能領會所有的比喻呢？

又曰、斯喻爾未達乎、又安識諸喻耶、

又曰、斯譬未達、安識眾譬、

又謂之曰、此喻爾尚不達、何以識眾喻乎、

又曰：『斯譬之意、豈爾等亦不明耶？則又安足以喻眾譬乎？

Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?

Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t you understand this story? Then how will you understand any stories of this kind?

And he said to them,“ Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?

Then Jesus said to them,“ If you can’t understand the meaning of this parable, how will you understand all the other parables?

Then he said to them,“ Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand all of the parables?

And He said to them,“ Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?

And he saith unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how shall ye know all the parables?

Then He said to them:“ Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any of the parables?

He said to them,“ Don’t you understand this parable? Then how will you understand any parable?

He said to them,“ Don’t you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables?

Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

“ Have you understood all these things?” They* said to Him,“ Yes.”And Jesus said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure new things and old.”

Concerning him we have much to say, and it is difficult to explain, since you have become poor listeners.For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the actual words of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.For everyone who partakes only of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to distinguish between good and evil.

But Jesus, aware of this, said,“ You men of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread?Do you not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you picked up?

And when He later entered a house, away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him about the parable.And He* said to them,“ Are you so lacking in understanding as well? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the person from outside cannot defile him,

And then He said to them,“ You foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

“ Now this is the parable: the seed is the word of God.And those beside the road are the ones who have heard, then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.Those on the rocky soil are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and yet these do not have a firm root; they believe for a while, and in a time of temptation they fall away.And the seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked by worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and they bring no fruit to maturity.But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and virtuous heart, and hold it firmly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

Peter said to Him,“ Explain the parable to us.”Jesus said,“ Are you also still lacking in understanding?Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated?

And I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but only as fleshly, as to infants in Christ.I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to consume it. But even now you are not yet able,

“ Listen then to the parable of the sower.When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one sown with seed beside the road.The one sown with seed on the rocky places, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution occurs because of the word, immediately he falls away.And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.But the one sown with seed on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces, some a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times as much.”
