耶穌知道了，就離開那裏，有許多人跟着他。他把其中有病的人都治好了；

但他們越發極力地說：「他煽惑百姓，在猶太遍地傳道，從加利利起，直到這裏了。」

於是在加利利全地，進了會堂，傳道，趕鬼。

有人在這城裏逼迫你們，就逃到那城裏去。我實在告訴你們，以色列的城邑，你們還沒有走遍，人子就到了。

又從拿弗他利支派的地業中將加利利的基低斯，就是誤殺人的逃城和屬城的郊野，給了他們；又給他們哈末‧多珥和屬城的郊野，加珥坦和屬城的郊野，共三座城。

弟兄們隨即在夜間打發保羅和西拉往庇哩亞去。二人到了，就進入猶太人的會堂。

他們回答說：「你也是出於加利利嗎？你且去查考，就可知道加利利沒有出過先知。」

從那日起，他們就商議要殺耶穌。所以，耶穌不再顯然行在猶太人中間，就離開那裏往靠近曠野的地方去，到了一座城，名叫以法蓮，就在那裏和門徒同住。

那時，耶穌出去，上山禱告，整夜禱告神；

於是，以色列人在拿弗他利山地分定加利利的基低斯；在以法蓮山地分定示劍；在猶大山地分定基列‧亞巴（基列‧亞巴就是希伯崙）；

那時，外邦人和猶太人，並他們的官長，一齊擁上來，要凌辱使徒，用石頭打他們。使徒知道了，就逃往呂高尼的路司得、特庇兩個城和周圍地方去，

當時弟兄們便打發保羅往海邊去，西拉和提摩太仍住在庇哩亞。

有的說：「這是基督。」但也有的說：「基督豈是從加利利出來的嗎？

他們又要拿他，他卻逃出他們的手走了。耶穌又往約旦河外去，到了約翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那裏。有許多人來到他那裏。他們說：「約翰一件神蹟沒有行過，但約翰指着這人所說的一切話都是真的。」
