慈伯德子雅谷伯暨弟若望、二子亦稱罷吶熱譯言雷霆之子；

James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

蓋天主之道、活潑靈通、利於雙刃之劍、刺透魂魄、徹入骨髓、且能燭幽洞微、即心中一念之萌、一意之起、靡有不察、

閱六日、耶穌獨攜伯鐸祿雅谷伯若望、引登高山、當前顯容、

其時希祿王肆力摧殘教會同人。

復前行、見慈伯德子雅谷伯暨弟若望修網舟中、即召之。二人乃舍其父與傭於舟而從焉。

惟攜伯鐸祿雅谷伯若望與俱。時心緒惶惶、不勝憂悶、

慈伯德子雅谷伯若望謂耶穌曰：『夫子請允我所求。』

西門伯鐸祿方與多默一名提諦莫、加利利嘉納人納大那慈伯德之二子、及其他二徒相聚處。

伯鐸祿回顧、見耶穌愛徒亦隨於後；愛徒者即曩於晚餐時、倚耶穌懷中、而問何人鬻主者也。伯鐸祿見斯人、而問耶穌曰：『主乎、此人將如何？』耶穌曰：『縱欲留彼於世、以俟予之重來、亦何與於汝？汝惟從予而已！』自是兄弟間紛傳此徒不死之說。然耶穌未言其不死、第曰：「縱欲留彼於世、以俟予之重來、亦何與於汝」耳。為諸事作證、而筆之於書者、即為斯徒。吾人固知其所證之誠實無妄也。然耶穌所行事蹟多矣；若欲一一誌之、恐其載籍之繁、雖天下之大、亦不足以藏之。

耶穌禁眾同行、惟攜伯鐸祿雅谷伯暨弟若望與偕。

有告予者曰：「爾當向兆民、萬邦、重譯、百王、預言未來之事。」
