James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

主曰、我之言若火、若鎚碎磐、

蓋天主之言、活潑有力、較兩刃之劍尤利、神氣與骨髓、無不剖入、心之意念、無不鑒察、

越六日、耶穌攜彼得、雅各、約翰、潛登高山、當三人前、改變形容、

主曰、爾當大呼、毋息焉、揚聲若角音、向我民宣示其過、向雅各家宣示其罪、

當時希律王執教會中數人、困苦之、

由此稍進、見西比代子雅各與其弟約翰在舟補網、耶穌召之、遂別父西比代及傭人於舟、而從耶穌、○

遂攜彼得雅各約翰同往、即驚懼悲痛、

西比代子雅各約翰、就耶穌曰、師、我儕有求於爾、願爾為我成之、

西門彼得、多瑪稱低度慕、迦利利之加拿人拿坦業、西比代二子、又二門徒同在、

彼得回顧、見耶穌所愛之門徒從於後、即昔於晚餐時、倚耶穌懷、問賣主為誰者、彼得見之、問耶穌曰、主、此人將如何、耶穌曰、若我欲彼存待我來、與爾何與、爾惟從我、於是兄弟中傳言云、此門徒將不死、然耶穌非言其不死、第言如欲彼存待我來、與爾何與、為此作證而書之者、乃此門徒、且我儕知其所證者真也、耶穌所行之事、此外尚多、若一一記之、我意其書、世不勝載矣、阿們、

乃攜彼得、雅各、及雅各之弟約翰偕行、此外不許他人隨之、

天使謂我曰、爾必指多民多國多族多王、復言未來之事、
