James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

耶和华说：“我的话岂不像火，又像能打碎磐石的大锤吗？”

神的道是活泼的，是有功效的，比一切两刃的剑更快，甚至魂与灵，骨节与骨髓，都能刺入、剖开，连心中的思念和主意都能辨明。

过了六天，耶稣带着彼得、雅各、约翰暗暗地上了高山，就在他们面前变了形像，

“你要大声喊叫，不可止息；扬起声来，好像吹角。向我百姓说明他们的过犯；向雅各家说明他们的罪恶。

那时，希律王下手苦害教会中几个人，

耶稣稍往前走，又见西庇太的儿子雅各和雅各的兄弟约翰在船上补网。耶稣随即招呼他们，他们就把父亲西庇太和雇工人留在船上，跟从耶稣去了。

于是带着彼得、雅各、约翰同去，就惊恐起来，极其难过，

西庇太的儿子雅各、约翰进前来，对耶稣说：“夫子，我们无论求你什么，愿你给我们做。”

有西门彼得和称为低土马的多马，并加利利的迦拿人拿但业，还有西庇太的两个儿子，又有两个门徒，都在一处。

彼得转过来，看见耶稣所爱的那门徒跟着，就是在晚饭的时候，靠着耶稣胸膛说：“主啊，卖你的是谁？”的那门徒。彼得看见他，就问耶稣说：“主啊，这人将来如何？”耶稣对他说：“我若要他等到我来的时候，与你何干？你跟从我吧！”于是这话传在弟兄中间，说那门徒不死。其实，耶稣不是说他不死，乃是说：“我若要他等到我来的时候，与你何干？”为这些事作见证，并且记载这些事的就是这门徒；我们也知道他的见证是真的。耶稣所行的事还有许多，若是一一地都写出来，我想，所写的书就是世界也容不下了。

于是带着彼得、雅各，和雅各的兄弟约翰同去，不许别人跟随他。

天使对我说：“你必指着多民、多国、多方、多王再说预言。”
