西庇太的兒子雅各，雅各的弟弟約翰——耶穌給他們起名叫「波阿內格」——這意思是「雷霆之子」；

慈伯德子雅谷伯暨弟若望、二子亦稱罷吶熱譯言雷霆之子；

James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

神的話語是有生命的，是有功效的；比任何雙刃的劍更鋒利，能刺透到魂和靈的分界，以及骨節和骨髓的分界，也能辨明心中的思想和意念；

過了六天，耶穌只帶著彼得、雅各、約翰，領他們悄悄地上了一座高山。在他們面前，耶穌變了形像。

「你要放開喉嚨，不要止住，揚起聲音，如同號角！你要向我的子民宣告他們的過犯，向雅各家宣告他們的罪惡。

大約在此時，希律王下手虐待教會中的一些人，

稍往前走，耶穌看見西庇太的兒子雅各和他弟弟約翰。他們正在船上修補漁網。耶穌隨即召喚他們。他們就離開了在船上的父親西庇太和雇工們，並且跟著耶穌去了。

他帶了彼得、雅各和約翰一起去。這時候，他開始憂懼起來，極其難過，

這時候，西庇太的兒子雅各和約翰來到耶穌面前，說：「老師，如果我們向你求什麼，希望你為我們成全。」

當時，西門彼得、那叫迪杜馬的多馬、加利利的迦拿人拿旦業、西庇太的兩個兒子、還有他的另外兩位門徒，正在一起。

彼得轉過身來，看見耶穌所愛的那門徒跟著走。他就是晚餐時貼近耶穌，問「主啊，出賣你的是誰」的那個門徒。彼得看見他，就問耶穌：「主啊，那麼，這個人會怎麼樣呢？」耶穌說：「就算我願意他一直留到我來的時候，這與你有什麼關係？你跟從我！」於是在弟兄中傳出了這樣一種說法：「那門徒不會死。」其實耶穌並沒有說他不會死，而是說：「就算我願意他一直留到我來的時候，這與你有什麼關係？」正是這個門徒，為這些事做見證，並記下了這些事，而且我們知道他的見證是真實的。耶穌所行的事，另外還有很多。如果把它們一一記載下來，我想，所寫出來的書，連整個世界也容納不下了。

然後他除了彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟約翰以外，不准別的人跟著。

然後他們對我說：「你必須指著許多民族、國家、語言群體和君王再說預言。」
