西庇太的儿子雅各，雅各的弟弟约翰——耶稣给他们起名叫“波阿内格”——这意思是“雷霆之子”；

还有西庇太的儿子雅各和雅各的兄弟约翰，又给这两个人起名叫半尼其，就是雷子的意思；

James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

神的话语是有生命的，是有功效的；比任何双刃的剑更锋利，能刺透到魂和灵的分界，以及骨节和骨髓的分界，也能辨明心中的思想和意念；

过了六天，耶稣只带着彼得、雅各、约翰，领他们悄悄地上了一座高山。在他们面前，耶稣变了形像。

“你要放开喉咙，不要止住，扬起声音，如同号角！你要向我的子民宣告他们的过犯，向雅各家宣告他们的罪恶。

大约在此时，希律王下手虐待教会中的一些人，

稍往前走，耶稣看见西庇太的儿子雅各和他弟弟约翰。他们正在船上修补渔网。耶稣随即召唤他们。他们就离开了在船上的父亲西庇太和雇工们，并且跟着耶稣去了。

他带了彼得、雅各和约翰一起去。这时候，他开始忧惧起来，极其难过，

这时候，西庇太的儿子雅各和约翰来到耶稣面前，说：“老师，如果我们向你求什么，希望你为我们成全。”

当时，西门彼得、那叫迪杜马的多马、加利利的迦拿人拿旦业、西庇太的两个儿子、还有他的另外两位门徒，正在一起。

彼得转过身来，看见耶稣所爱的那门徒跟着走。他就是晚餐时贴近耶稣，问“主啊，出卖你的是谁”的那个门徒。彼得看见他，就问耶稣：“主啊，那么，这个人会怎么样呢？”耶稣说：“就算我愿意他一直留到我来的时候，这与你有什么关系？你跟从我！”于是在弟兄中传出了这样一种说法：“那门徒不会死。”其实耶稣并没有说他不会死，而是说：“就算我愿意他一直留到我来的时候，这与你有什么关系？”正是这个门徒，为这些事做见证，并记下了这些事，而且我们知道他的见证是真实的。耶稣所行的事，另外还有很多。如果把它们一一记载下来，我想，所写出来的书，连整个世界也容纳不下了。

然后他除了彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰以外，不准别的人跟着。

然后他们对我说：“你必须指着许多民族、国家、语言群体和君王再说预言。”
