西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰——耶穌給他們取名叫「半尼其」，就是「雷霆之子」的意思、

慈伯德子雅谷伯暨弟若望、二子亦稱罷吶熱譯言雷霆之子；

James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James( to whom he gave the name Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder);

James and John( the sons of Zebedee, but Jesus nicknamed them“ Sons of Thunder”),

and to James the son of Zebedee, and to his brother John, he gave the name“ Boanerges”( that is,“ Sons of Thunder”);

耶和華說：「難道我的話不像火嗎？不像擊碎岩石的鐵錘嗎？」

上帝的話有生命、有功效，鋒利無比，勝過一切兩刃的利劍，甚至能夠剌入並分開魂與靈、關節與骨髓，辨明人一切的思想和動機。

六天後，耶穌帶著彼得、雅各和約翰暗暗地登上一座高山。耶穌在他們面前改變了形像，

「你要高聲呼喊，不要停止；要放聲高呼，像響亮的號角。要向我的子民宣告他們的過犯，向雅各家宣告他們的罪惡。

那時，希律王下手殘害教會的一些人，

耶穌往前走了不遠，又看見西庇太的兩個兒子雅各和約翰正在船上補網，便立刻呼召他們。他們就辭別父親和船上的工人，跟從了耶穌。

於是耶穌帶著彼得、雅各和約翰向前走。祂覺得極其難過，非常傷痛，

西庇太的兩個兒子雅各和約翰上前對耶穌說：「老師，請你答應我們一個要求。」

西門·彼得、綽號「雙胞胎」的多馬、加利利的迦拿人拿但業、西庇太的兩個兒子以及其他兩個門徒都在一起。

彼得轉身看見耶穌所愛的那個門徒跟在後面，就是吃最後的晚餐時靠在耶穌身邊問「主啊！是誰要出賣你？」的那個門徒。彼得問耶穌：「主啊！他將來會怎樣呢？」耶穌說：「如果我要他活到我再來，與你有什麼關係？你只管跟從我吧！」於是在信徒中間就傳說那個門徒不會死。其實耶穌並沒有說他不會死，只是說：「如果我要他活到我再來，與你有什麼關係？」為這些事做見證、記錄這些事的就是那個門徒，我們都知道他的見證是真實的。耶穌還做了許多其他的事，如果都寫成書，我想整個世界也容納不下。

於是，祂帶著彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟約翰去雅魯家，不准其他人跟著。

那天使又對我說：「你必要再對許多民族、國家、語言族群、君王說預言。」
