On hearing this, Jesus said to them,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jesus heard that. So he said to them,“ Those who are healthy don’t need a doctor. Sick people do. I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to follow me.”

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them,“ Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

When Jesus heard this, he told them,“ Healthy people don’t need a doctor— sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

我語汝、罪人有一改悔者、則在天為之樂亦然、較為九十九義人、無須改悔者尤甚也、

蓋人子至、為尋救失亡之人耳、○

基督耶穌臨世以救罪人、誠哉是言、宜盡納之、其中我為元惡、然我蒙矜恤、俾耶穌基督於我為首者、彰厥恆忍、為後信而得永生者之模範、

蓋我儕素亦無知、悖逆、迷惑、役於情慾佚樂、以狠毒媢嫉度生、見惡於人、亦彼此相惡、然我救者上帝慈惠仁愛顯著時、則救我儕、非因我行義之功、乃依其矜恤、以重生之盥濯、與聖神之復新、即上帝由我救者耶穌基督厚注我儕者、俾得以其恩而見義、且依永生之望、成為嗣子、

作惡之輩、當離其途、不義之人、當易其念、歸於耶和華、彼必恤之、歸於我上帝、彼必普施赦宥、

同在之法利賽人聞之曰、我儕亦瞽乎、

且律既至、俾愆益增、罪既增、而恩愈洪矣、致如罪於死中乘權、恩亦若是由義而乘權至於永生、惟因我主耶穌基督焉、

豈不知不義者不得承上帝國乎、毋受惑、凡淫亂、拜像、行姦、為孌童、比頑童、竊盜、貪婪、沉湎、詬詈、苛索者、皆不得承上帝國也、爾中素有如是者、惟以主耶穌基督名、及我上帝之神、已洗滌成聖而見義焉、○

長子謂父曰、我事爾多年、從無違命、而爾未嘗賜我一羔、俾我與友同樂、

蓋我儕尚弱時、基督依期為不虔者死、夫為義人死者、僅或有之、為善人死者、容或敢焉、惟我尚為罪人時、基督為我死、上帝之愛於此而彰、

耶和華曰、爾曹其來、爾我互辯、爾罪雖丹如朱、將白如雪、雖紅若絳、將白若毛、

慎勿輕視此小子之一、

我語汝、罪人有一改悔者、在上帝使者前、為之喜亦然、○

耶穌謂之曰、爾於人前自義、然上帝知爾心、蓋人所崇者、上帝所惡也、

眾曰、爾通體生於罪中、反教我乎、遂逐之、○

乃先於大馬色、次於耶路撒冷、舉猶太地、爰及異邦人、告之宜改悔、歸上帝、而行事符於改悔、

勸猶太人、希利尼人、宜以改悔向上帝、以信向我主耶穌基督、

彼為我儕捐己、贖我出諸不法、且潔其民以為己業、乃熱衷於善行者也、
