On hearing this, Jesus said to them,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jesus heard that. So he said to them,“ Those who are healthy don’t need a doctor. Sick people do. I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to follow me.”

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them,“ Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

耶稣听见，就说：“康健的人用不着医生，有病的人才用得着。经上说：‘我喜爱怜恤，不喜爱祭祀。’这句话的意思，你们且去揣摩。我来本不是召义人，乃是召罪人。”

耶稣对他们说：“无病的人用不着医生；有病的人才用得着。我来本不是召义人悔改，乃是召罪人悔改。”

我告诉你们，一个罪人悔改，在天上也要这样为他欢喜，较比为九十九个不用悔改的义人欢喜更大。”

人子来，为要寻找、拯救失丧的人。”

“基督耶稣降世，为要拯救罪人。”这话是可信的，是十分可佩服的。在罪人中我是个罪魁。然而，我蒙了怜悯，是因耶稣基督要在我这罪魁身上显明他一切的忍耐，给后来信他得永生的人作榜样。

我们从前也是无知、悖逆、受迷惑、服侍各样私欲，和宴乐，常存恶毒嫉妒的心，是可恨的，又是彼此相恨。但到了神我们救主的恩慈和他向人所施的慈爱显明的时候，他便救了我们；并不是因我们自己所行的义，乃是照他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。圣灵就是神藉着耶稣基督我们救主厚厚浇灌在我们身上的，好叫我们因他的恩得称为义，可以凭着永生的盼望成为后嗣。

恶人当离弃自己的道路；不义的人当除掉自己的意念。归向耶和华，耶和华就必怜恤他；当归向我们的神，因为神必广行赦免。

同他在那里的法利赛人听见这话，就说：“难道我们也瞎了眼吗？”

律法本是外添的，叫过犯显多；只是罪在哪里显多，恩典就更显多了。就如罪作王叫人死；照样，恩典也藉着义作王，叫人因我们的主耶稣基督得永生。

你们岂不知不义的人不能承受神的国吗？不要自欺！无论是淫乱的、拜偶像的、奸淫的、作娈童的、亲男色的、偷窃的、贪婪的、醉酒的、辱骂的、勒索的，都不能承受神的国。你们中间也有人从前是这样；但如今你们奉主耶稣基督的名，并藉着我们神的灵，已经洗净，成圣，称义了。

他对父亲说：‘我服侍你这多年，从来没有违背过你的命，你并没有给我一只山羊羔，叫我和朋友一同快乐。

因我们还软弱的时候，基督就按所定的日期为罪人死。为义人死，是少有的；为仁人死，或者有敢做的。惟有基督在我们还作罪人的时候为我们死，神的爱就在此向我们显明了。

耶和华说：“你们来，我们彼此辩论。你们的罪虽像朱红，必变成雪白；虽红如丹颜，必白如羊毛。

“你们要小心，不可轻看这小子里的一个；我告诉你们，他们的使者在天上，常见我天父的面。

我告诉你们，一个罪人悔改，在神的使者面前也是这样为他欢喜。”

耶稣对他们说：“你们是在人面前自称为义的，你们的心，神却知道；因为人所尊贵的，是神看为可憎恶的。

他们回答说：“你全然生在罪孽中，还要教训我们吗？”于是把他赶出去了。

先在大马士革，后在耶路撒冷和犹太全地，以及外邦，劝勉他们应当悔改归向神，行事与悔改的心相称。

又对犹太人和希腊人证明当向神悔改，信靠我主耶稣基督。

他为我们舍了自己，要赎我们脱离一切罪恶，又洁净我们，特作自己的子民，热心为善。
