法利赛人站着，祷告给自己听，这样说：‘神啊，我感谢你，我不像别人，勒索、不义、奸淫，也不像这个税吏。

众人看见就纷纷议论说：“他竟到罪人家里去住宿！”

并且对人说：“你站远一点！不要挨近我，因为我会使你圣洁。”主说：“这些人是我鼻中的烟，是整天烧着的火。

法利赛人和经学家，纷纷议论说：“这个人接待罪人，又和他们一起吃饭。”耶稣就对他们讲了这个比喻，说：“你们中间谁有一百只羊，失去一只，不把九十九只留下在旷野，去寻找那失落的，直到找着呢？既找着了，就欢欢喜喜地放在肩上，回到家里，请朋友邻舍来，对他们说：‘请大家和我一同欢乐，因为我失去的羊已经找到了！’我告诉你们，因为一个罪人悔改，天上也要这样为他欢乐，比为九十九个不用悔改的义人欢乐更大。

法利赛人看见了，就对他的门徒说：“你们的老师为什么跟税吏和罪人一起吃饭呢？”

属灵的人能看透万事，却没有人能看透他，

这位忍受罪人那样顶撞的耶稣，你们要仔细思想，免得疲倦灰心。

“这个人为什么这样说话？他说僭妄的话了。除了神一位以外，谁能赦罪呢？”

因为人子来，是要寻找拯救失丧的人。”

如果他再不听，就告诉教会；如果连教会他也不听，就把他看作教外人和税吏吧。
