Then, passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me,” and he got up and followed him.

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.

As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He* said to him,“ Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

Then, moving on, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and He said to him,“ Follow Me!” So he got up and followed Him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the[ son] of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

As he went along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax booth.“ Follow me,” he said to him. And he got up and followed him.

As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.

After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me.”So, leaving everything behind, he got up and began to follow him.Then Levi hosted a grand banquet for him at his house. Now there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining at the table with them.But the Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”Jesus replied to them,“ It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick.I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot;

“ Follow me,” he told them,“ and I will make you fish for people.”Immediately they left their nets and followed him.Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat with Zebedee their father, preparing their nets, and he called them.Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Andrew; Philip and Bartholomew; Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot,

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me,” and he got up and followed him.While he was reclining at the table in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came to eat with Jesus and his disciples.When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples,“ Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”Now when he heard this, he said,“ It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick.Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

“ Follow me,” Jesus told them,“ and I will make you fish for people.”Immediately they left their nets and followed him.Going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat putting their nets in order.Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

When they arrived, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
