As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.

Then, passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me,” and he got up and followed him.

As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He* said to him,“ Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

As he went along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax booth.“ Follow me,” he said to him. And he got up and followed him.

As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.

後來耶穌外出時，看見一個名叫利未的稅吏坐在收稅站裡，就對他說：「跟從我！」利未就起來，撇下一切跟從了耶穌。隨後，他在家設宴款待耶穌，赴宴的人中有許多稅吏和其他人。法利賽人和律法教師就向耶穌的門徒抱怨說：「你們為什麼跟稅吏和罪人一起吃喝呢？」耶穌答道：「健康的人不需要醫生，有病的人才需要。我來不是要召義人悔改，乃是召罪人悔改。」

馬太、多馬、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、激進黨人西門、

耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我！我要使你們成為得人的漁夫。」他們立刻撇下漁網，跟從了耶穌。耶穌再往前走，又看見雅各和約翰兩兄弟正和父親西庇太一起在船上補漁網。耶穌呼召他們，他們馬上離開漁船，辭別父親，跟從了耶穌。

安得烈、腓力、巴多羅買、馬太、多馬、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、達太、激進黨人西門、

耶穌離開那裡往前走，看見一個名叫馬太的人坐在收稅站裡，便對他說：「跟從我！」馬太就站起來跟從了耶穌。耶穌在馬太家裡坐席的時候，很多稅吏和罪人前來跟耶穌和祂的門徒一起坐席。法利賽人看見了，就質問耶穌的門徒：「你們的老師為何跟稅吏和罪人一起吃飯？」耶穌聽見後，答道：「健康的人不需要醫生，有病的人才需要。聖經上說，『我喜愛憐憫之心，而非祭物』，你們去揣摩這句話的意思吧。我來不是要召義人，乃是要召罪人。」

耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我！我要使你們成為得人的漁夫。」他們立刻拋下漁網，跟從了耶穌。耶穌往前走了不遠，又看見西庇太的兩個兒子雅各和約翰正在船上補網，便立刻呼召他們。他們就辭別父親和船上的工人，跟從了耶穌。

他們進城後，來到樓上自己住的房間。當時有彼得、約翰、雅各、安得烈、腓力、多馬、巴多羅買、馬太、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、激進黨人西門、雅各的兒子猶大。
