As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.

And after these things he went forth, and beheld a publican, named Levi, sitting at the place of toll, and said unto him, Follow me.And he forsook all, and rose up and followed him.And Levi made him a great feast in his house: and there was a great multitude of publicans and of others that were sitting at meat with them.And the Pharisees and their scribes murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with the publicans and sinners?And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician; but they that are sick.I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

and Matthew and Thomas, and James the son of Alphæus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,

And he saith unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men.And they straightway left the nets, and followed him.And going on from thence he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.And they straightway left the boat and their father, and followed him.

and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphæus, and Thaddæus, and Simon the Cananæan,

And as Jesus passed by from thence, he saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Teacher with the publicans and sinners?But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick.But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.And straightway they left the nets, and followed him.And going on a little further, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets.And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

And when they were come in, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were abiding; both Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphæus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
