Jesus went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

But as the man went out he began to announce it publicly and spread the story widely, so that Jesus was no longer able to enter any town openly but stayed outside in remote places. Still they kept coming to him from everywhere.

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax booth.“ Follow me,” he said to him. And he got up and followed him.

Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake.

On that day after Jesus went out of the house, he sat by the lake.

but they could not find a way to do it, for all the people hung on his words.

Then Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him. And from Judea,Jerusalem, Idumea, beyond the Jordan River, and around Tyre and Sidon a great multitude came to him when they heard about the things he had done.

So many gathered that there was no longer any room, not even by the door, and he preached the word to them.

Now Jesus went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat.When his family heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said,“ He is out of his mind.”

Wisdom calls out in the street, she shouts loudly in the plazas;at the head of the noisy streets she calls, in the entrances of the gates in the city she utters her words:“ How long will you simpletons love naiveté? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?

And all the people came to him early in the morning to listen to him in the temple courts.
