但令爾知人子在世、有權以赦罪耳、遂謂癱瘓者曰、

但令爾知、人子在地、有權以赦罪耳、即語癱瘋者曰、

今特令爾知人子在地、有赦罪之權、即語癱瘓者曰、

第欲爾曹知人子在世、自有赦罪之權耳。』

But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man,

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— then he told the paralytic,“ Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”So he got up and went home.When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and gave glory to God, who had given such authority to men.

I continued watching in the night visions, and suddenly one like a son of man was coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him.He was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing, and he will show him greater works than these so that you will be amazed.And just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom he wants.The Father, in fact, judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son,so that all people may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.“ Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.“ Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself.And he has granted him the right to pass judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

God exalted this man to his right hand as ruler and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief,and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”— and I am the worst of them.But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples,“ Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
