A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.

Jesus stepped into a boat. He went over to the other side of the lake and came to his own town.

Jesus was approaching Jericho. A blind man was sitting by the side of the road begging.The blind man heard the crowd going by. He asked what was happening.They told him,“ Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”So the blind man called out,“ Jesus! Son of David! Have mercy on me!”

But the man went out and started talking right away. He spread the news to everyone. So Jesus could no longer enter a town openly. He stayed outside in lonely places. But people still came to him from everywhere.

The official heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea. So he went to Jesus and begged him to come and heal his son. The boy was close to death.

So some men came carrying a man who could not walk. He was lying on a mat. They tried to take him into the house to place him in front of Jesus.

Jesus went from there to a place near Tyre. He entered a house. He did not want anyone to know where he was. But he could not keep it a secret.

A crowd came together when they heard the sound. They were bewildered because each of them heard their own language being spoken.
