So he got into a boat, crossed over, and came to his own town.

As he approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.Hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what was happening.“ Jesus of Nazareth is passing by,” they told him.So he called out,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Yet he went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news, with the result that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly. But he was out in deserted places, and they came to him from everywhere.

When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, he went to him and pleaded with him to come down and heal his son, since he was about to die.

Just then some men came, carrying on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and set him down before him.

He got up and departed from there to the region of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it, but he could not escape notice.

When this sound occurred, a crowd came together and was confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
