When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked,but the angel said,“ Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body.

But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!

So they rushed back from the tomb to tell his eleven disciples— and everyone else— what had happened.It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and several other women who told the apostles what had happened.But the story sounded like nonsense to the men, so they didn’t believe it.

Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road.

“ Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report.They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive!Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.”

Then Elisha said to Gehazi,“ Get ready to travel; take my staff and go! Don’t talk to anyone along the way. Go quickly and lay the staff on the child’s face.”
