Jesus answered them,“ Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”The Jews then said,“ It took forty six years to build this temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?”But He was speaking about the temple of His body.So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

and how the chief priests and our rulers handed Him over to be sentenced to death, and crucified Him.But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. And they will mock Him and spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him; and three days later He will rise from the dead.”

and He said to them,“ So it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

for just as Jonah was in the stomach of the sea monster for three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

The guards shook from fear of him and became like dead men.And the angel said to the women,“ Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”

While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in gleaming clothing;and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them,“ Why are you seeking the living One among the dead?He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee,saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.”And they remembered His words,

As they were coming down from the mountain, He gave them orders not to relate to anyone what they had seen, until the Son of Man rose from the dead.They seized upon that statement, discussing with one another what rising from the dead meant.

Boast in His holy name; May the heart of those who seek the Lord be joyful.Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.We are witnesses of all the things that He did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He be revealed,
