他的容貌如閃電，衣裳潔白如雪。

瑪麗亞聽了覺得十分困惑，反覆思想這話的意思。天使對她說：「瑪麗亞，不要害怕，你在上帝面前已經蒙恩了。

大家一看到耶穌，都十分驚奇，立刻跑上去迎接祂。

撒迦利亞見了，驚慌害怕起來。

先到的那個門徒也進來了，看見這種情形，就信了。

門徒看見有人在湖面上走，以為是幽靈，嚇得驚叫起來。全船的人看見祂，都嚇壞了，耶穌立刻對他們說：「放心吧，是我，不要怕！」

便進去，卻沒有看見主耶穌的遺體。正在猜疑之間，突然有兩個衣服發光的人站在旁邊，她們嚇得俯伏在地。那兩個人對她們說：「你們為什麼在死人中找活人呢？

他說：「但以理啊，不要怕，從你在上帝面前謙卑地懇求明白這異象的第一天，你的禱告已蒙垂聽。我是來答覆你的。

舉目觀看，見有一個人身穿細麻衣，腰束純金的帶子，身體如碧玉，面貌如閃電，眼睛如火炬，四肢如明亮的銅，聲音如眾人的呼喊。只有我但以理看見了這異象，跟我在一起的人都沒有看見，但他們極其恐懼，紛紛逃匿，只剩下我一人觀看這奇異的景象。我渾身無力，臉色蒼白，精疲力盡。接著，我聽見他說話的聲音，一聽見他的聲音，我便俯伏在地上昏睡過去。

於是，他朝我站的地方走來，當他走來的時候，我嚇得俯伏在地。他對我說：「人子啊，你要明白，這異象是關於末後的時期。」
