The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of his nature, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Now the main point of what is being said is this: We have this kind of high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

When the days were coming to a close for him to be taken up, he determined to journey to Jerusalem.

This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord:“ Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”

Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the one who died, but even more, has been raised; he also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.

until the day he was taken up, after he had given instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.After he had suffered, he also presented himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens— Jesus the Son of God— let us hold fast to our confession.

And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

Therefore, since he has been exalted to the right hand of God and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, he has poured out what you both see and hear.

Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.He said,“ Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

For it says: When he ascended on high, he took the captives captive; he gave gifts to people.But what does“ he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower parts of the earth?The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, to fill all things.And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he abolishes all rule and all authority and power.For he must reign until he puts all his enemies under his feet.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

He told them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead the third day,and repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.And look, I am sending you what my Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”Then he led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.And while he was blessing them, he left them and was carried up into heaven.

I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

“ If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered,“ what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”

Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.“ To the one who conquers I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight.While he was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.They said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven.”

Heaven must receive him until the time of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about through his holy prophets from the beginning.

But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.He is now waiting until his enemies are made his footstool.

Jesus came near and said to them,“ All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands( only a model of the true one) but into heaven itself, so that he might now appear in the presence of God for us.

Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner, because he has become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Now I am coming to you, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy completed in them.

He exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church,

“ Don’t cling to me,” Jesus told her,“ since I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”

When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to him,“ you know that I love you.”“ Feed my lambs,” he told him.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus—he has inaugurated for us a new and living way through the curtain( that is, through his flesh)—and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

I have glorified you on the earth by completing the work you gave me to do.Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with that glory I had with you before the world existed.
