Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.And while they still could not believe it( because of their joy) and were amazed, he said to them,“ Do you have anything here to eat?”So they gave him a piece of broiled fish,and he took it and ate it in front of them.

As it says,“ Oh, that today you would listen as he speaks! Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”For which ones heard and rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Egypt under Moses’ leadership?And against whom was God provoked for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?So we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,“ Oh, that today you would listen as he speaks!“ Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness.

Then Jesus began to criticize openly the cities in which he had done many of his miracles, because they did not repent.

And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.After this he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were on their way to the country.They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

He says,“ Do not be stubborn like they were at Meribah, like they were that day at Massah in the wilderness,where your ancestors challenged my authority, and tried my patience, even though they had seen my work.For forty years I was continually disgusted with that generation, and I said,‘ These people desire to go astray; they do not obey my commands.’So I made a vow in my anger,‘ They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”

He said to them,“ Are you so foolish? Don’t you understand that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him?

When Jesus learned of this, he said,“ You who have such little faith! Why are you arguing among yourselves about having no bread?Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you took up?How could you not understand that I was not speaking to you about bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!”

He told them,“ It was because of your little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain,‘ Move from here to there,’ and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.”

So he said to them,“ You foolish people– how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

When he learned of this, Jesus said to them,“ Why are you arguing about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Have your hearts been hardened?Though you have eyes, don’t you see? And though you have ears, can’t you hear? Don’t you remember?

The LORD said to Moses,“ How long will this people despise me, and how long will they not believe in me, in spite of the signs that I have done among them?

Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here, and examine my hands. Extend your hand and put it into my side. Do not continue in your unbelief, but believe.”

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

Jesus said,“ Even after all this, are you still so foolish?Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth enters the stomach and then passes out into the sewer?
