百夫長立於前、見其如是氣絕、則曰、斯人誠上帝子也、

百夫長立於前、見其大呼氣絕、曰、此誠上帝子矣、

立於前之百夫長、見耶穌如是大呼而氣絕、乃曰、此人誠為天主之子、

適有巴總在側、見耶穌臨終時情形、乃曰：『斯人真天主子也！』

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said,“ Surely this man was the Son of God!”

A Roman commander was standing there in front of Jesus. He saw how Jesus died. Then he said,“ This man was surely the Son of God!”

And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said,“ Truly this man was the Son of God!”

When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed,“ This man truly was the Son of God!”

When the centurion, who was standing opposite him, saw the way he breathed his last, he said,“ Truly this man was the Son of God!”

Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, was with us.And the next day we landed at Sidon. And Julius treated Paul kindly and gave him liberty to go to his friends and receive care.

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment,

Pilate marveled that He was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him if He had been dead for some time.So when he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

But the centurion, wanting to save Paul, kept them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should jump overboard first and get to land,
