立於前之百夫長、見耶穌如是大呼而氣絕、乃曰、此人誠為天主之子、

適有巴總在側、見耶穌臨終時情形、乃曰：『斯人真天主子也！』

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said,“ Surely this man was the Son of God!”

百夫長和一同看守耶穌的人看見地震並所經歷的事，就極其害怕，說：「這真是神的兒子了！」

百夫長看見所成的事，就歸榮耀與神，說：「這真是個義人！」聚集觀看的眾人見了這所成的事都捶着胸回去了。

他倚靠神，神若喜悅他，現在可以救他；因為他曾說：『我是神的兒子。』」

非斯都既然定規了，叫我們坐船往意大利去，便將保羅和別的囚犯交給御營裏的一個百夫長，名叫猶流。有一隻亞大米田的船，要沿着亞細亞一帶地方的海邊走，我們就上了那船開行；有馬其頓的帖撒羅尼迦人亞里達古和我們同去。第二天，到了西頓；猶流寬待保羅，准他往朋友那裏去，受他們的照應。

在凱撒利亞有一個人，名叫哥尼流，是「意大利營」的百夫長。

耶穌進了迦百農，有一個百夫長進前來，求他說：「主啊，我的僕人害癱瘓病，躺在家裏，甚是疼苦。」耶穌說：「我去醫治他。」百夫長回答說：「主啊，你到我舍下，我不敢當；只要你說一句話，我的僕人就必好了。因為我在人的權下，也有兵在我以下；對這個說『去！』他就去；對那個說『來！』他就來；對我的僕人說『你做這事！』他就去做。」耶穌聽見就希奇，對跟從的人說：「我實在告訴你們，這麼大的信心，就是在以色列中，我也沒有遇見過。

彼拉多詫異耶穌已經死了，便叫百夫長來，問他耶穌死了久不久。既從百夫長得知實情，就把耶穌的屍首賜給約瑟。

但百夫長要救保羅，不准他們任意而行，就吩咐會洑水的，跳下水去先上岸；
