In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves.“ He saved others,” they said,“ but he can’t save himself!

In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law made fun of him among themselves.“ He saved others,” they said.“ But he can’t save himself!

So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another, saying,“ He saved others; he cannot save himself.

The leading priests and teachers of religious law also mocked Jesus.“ He saved others,” they scoffed,“ but he can’t save himself!

In the same way, the chief priests with the scribes were mocking him among themselves and saying,“ He saved others, but he cannot save himself!

民眾站着觀看，議員們卻嗤笑着說：『別人他救了；這個人如果是上帝所膏立的，是那蒙揀選的，讓他救自己吧。』士兵也戲弄他，上前去，把酸酒送上去給他，說：『你如果是猶太人的王，救你自己吧。』

祭司長同經學士和長老也都這樣戲弄着說：『別人他救了；自己呢、他不能救！他是以色列王；如今讓他從十字架上下來吧！我們就信他。他倚靠上帝；上帝若要他，讓上帝如今援救他吧！因為他曾經說：「我是上帝的兒子。」』

因為狗犬之類圍着我；作壞事者之羣環繞着我；他們扎了我的手和腳；我的骨頭、我都能數算；他們瞪着眼看我，

於是祭司長和法利賽人召集了議院的會，說：『這個人行着許多神迹，我們怎麼辦呢？若由着他這樣，眾人都會信他，羅馬人就會來，連我們的聖地帶我們民族都奪取了去啊。』其中有一個人、那年做大祭司的該亞法、對他們說：『你們甚麼都不懂；也不想想、一個人替人民死，免得全民族都滅亡：這是於你們有益的啊。』這話他不是憑着自己說的，是因為那年他做大祭司，所以豫言耶穌將要替民族死；不單替民族死，並且要將上帝四散的兒女都聚集歸一呢。

列國為甚麼彼此串通？萬族之民為甚麼謀算不能成功的事呢？地上君王列陣站着，眾人君一同陰謀，要敵擋永恆主，敵擋他所膏立的，說：『我們來掙開他們的捆綁，來脫掉他們的繩索吧。』那坐在天上的必冷笑；永恆主必嗤笑他們。

你們行善而受苦，如果上帝的旨意願意這樣，總比行惡而受苦的好啊。因為基督也曾儘一次為我們的罪而受死，義的替不義的，為要領我們進到上帝面前。在肉身裏、他是被處死了，但在靈裏、他卻得存活了。

耶穌應時對他們說：『人子得榮耀的鐘點到了！我實實在在地告訴你們，一粒麥子若不落在地裏死了，它仍舊是單單一粒；若是死了，就結出許多果實來。
