Then Pilate said to them,“ Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more,“ Crucify Him!”

比辣多曰：『是亦何為！彼曾作何惡？』眾更竭聲而呼曰：『釘死之！』

“ Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder,“ Crucify him!”

“ Why? What wrong has he done?” asked Pilate. But they shouted even louder,“ Crucify him!”

And Pilate said to them,“ Why? what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more,“ Crucify him.”

“ Why?” Pilate demanded.“ What crime has he committed?” But the mob roared even louder,“ Crucify him!”

Pilate said to them,“ Why? What has he done wrong?” But they shouted all the more,“ Crucify him!”

But Pilate said to them,“ Why, what evil has He done?” But they shouted all the more,“ Crucify Him!”

And Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, Crucify him.

Then Pilate said to them,“ Why? What has He done wrong?” But they shouted,“ Crucify Him!” all the more.

Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

Pilate asked them,“ Why? What has he done wrong?” But they shouted more insistently,“ Crucify him!”

Pilate said to them,“ Why, what evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly,“ Crucify him!”

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”

Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying,“ Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them,“ You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”

And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying,“ Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd,“ I find no fault in this Man.”

And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said,“ Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!”Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air,

He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

But they shouted, saying,“ Crucify Him, crucify Him!”

said to them,“ You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him;no, neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him.

But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed.So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested.

When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,and said,“ Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” And they said,“ What is that to us? You see to it!”

Then the governor said,“ Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, saying,“ Let Him be crucified!”When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying,“ I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.”And all the people answered and said,“ His blood be on us and on our children.”

From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying,“ If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews,“ Behold your King!”But they cried out,“ Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!” Pilate said to them,“ Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered,“ We have no king but Caesar!”

Pilate said to Him,“ What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them,“ I find no fault in Him at all.

So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying,“ Truly this was the Son of God!”

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Those who hate me without a cause Are more than the hairs of my head; They are mighty who would destroy me, Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it.

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying,“ Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.”

But when they found out that he was a Jew, all with one voice cried out for about two hours,“ Great is Diana of the Ephesians!”
