Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath,“ I do not know this man you are talking about!”

彼得就发咒起誓地说：“我不认得你们说的这个人。”

彼得又赌咒又发誓，说：“我根本不认识你们说的这个人。”

彼得就发咒起誓说：“我不认得你们说的这个人！”

他就开始赌咒并起誓说：“我不认识你们所讲的这个人。”

彼得就發咒起誓地說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得又賭咒又發誓，說：「我根本不認識你們說的這個人。」

彼得就發咒起誓說：“我不認得你們說的這個人！”

彼得就發起咒來並起誓說：『你們所說的這個人、我並不認識。』

他就開始賭咒並起誓說：「我不認識你們所講的這個人。」

彼得詛且誓曰、爾所言若人、我不識也、

伯鐸祿乃且咒且誓曰：『吾實不識爾所云之彼人也！』

He began to call down curses, and he swore to them,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”

Then Peter began to curse. He said to them,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear,“ I do not know this man of whom you speak.”

Peter swore,“ A curse on me if I’m lying— I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

Then he started to curse and swear,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

But he began to curse himself and to swear,“ I do not know this man of whom you speak!”

Then he began to curse and swear,“ I do not know this Man of whom you speak!”

But he began to curse, and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall.

Hazael asked,“ Why are you crying, my master?” He replied,“ Because I know the trouble you will cause the Israelites. You will set fire to their fortresses, kill their young men with the sword, smash their children to bits, and rip open their pregnant women.”Hazael said,“ How could your servant, who is as insignificant as a dog, accomplish this great military victory?” Elisha answered,“ The LORD has revealed to me that you will be the king of Syria.”He left Elisha and went to his master. Ben Hadad asked him,“ What did Elisha tell you?” Hazael replied,“ He told me you would surely recover.”The next day Hazael took a piece of cloth, dipped it in water, and spread it over Ben Hadad’s face until he died. Then Hazael replaced him as king.

In those days the LORD began to reduce the size of Israel’s territory. Hazael attacked their eastern border.

The human mind is more deceitful than anything else. It is incurably bad. Who can understand it?
