Then he started to curse and to swear with an oath,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

彼得又赌咒又发誓，说：“我根本不认识你们说的这个人。”

彼得就发咒起誓说：“我不认得你们说的这个人！”

他就开始赌咒并起誓说：“我不认识你们所讲的这个人。”

彼得就發咒起誓地說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得又賭咒又發誓，說：「我根本不認識你們說的這個人。」

彼得就發咒起誓說：“我不認得你們說的這個人！”

彼得就發起咒來並起誓說：『你們所說的這個人、我並不認識。』

他就開始賭咒並起誓說：「我不認識你們所講的這個人。」

彼得詛且誓曰、爾所言若人、我不識也、

伯鐸祿乃且咒且誓曰：『吾實不識爾所云之彼人也！』

He began to call down curses, and he swore to them,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”

Then Peter began to curse. He said to them,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear,“ I do not know this man of whom you speak.”

Peter swore,“ A curse on me if I’m lying— I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

Then he started to curse and swear,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

But he began to curse himself and to swear,“ I do not know this man of whom you speak!”

Then he began to curse and swear,“ I do not know this Man of whom you speak!”

So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.

and Hazael asked,“ Why is my lord weeping?” He replied,“ Because I know the evil you will do to the people of Israel. You will set their fortresses on fire. You will kill their young men with the sword. You will dash their little ones to pieces. You will rip open their pregnant women.”Hazael said,“ How could your servant, a mere dog, do this monstrous thing?” Elisha answered,“ The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”Hazael left Elisha and went to his master, who asked him,“ What did Elisha say to you?” He responded,“ He told me you are sure to recover.”The next day Hazael took a heavy cloth, dipped it in water, and spread it over the king’s face. Ben-hadad died, and Hazael reigned instead of him.

In those days the Lord began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael defeated the Israelites throughout their territory:
