But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear,“ I do not know this man of whom you speak.”

彼得又赌咒又发誓，说：“我根本不认识你们说的这个人。”

彼得就发咒起誓说：“我不认得你们说的这个人！”

他就开始赌咒并起誓说：“我不认识你们所讲的这个人。”

彼得就發咒起誓地說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」

彼得又賭咒又發誓，說：「我根本不認識你們說的這個人。」

彼得就發咒起誓說：“我不認得你們說的這個人！”

彼得就發起咒來並起誓說：『你們所說的這個人、我並不認識。』

他就開始賭咒並起誓說：「我不認識你們所講的這個人。」

彼得詛且誓曰、爾所言若人、我不識也、

伯鐸祿乃且咒且誓曰：『吾實不識爾所云之彼人也！』

He began to call down curses, and he swore to them,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”

Then Peter began to curse. He said to them,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

Peter swore,“ A curse on me if I’m lying— I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

Then he started to curse and swear,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

But he began to curse himself and to swear,“ I do not know this man of whom you speak!”

Then he began to curse and swear,“ I do not know this Man of whom you speak!”

But he began to curse, and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

Then he started to curse and to swear with an oath,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

But he began to curse and to swear,[ saying], I know not this man of whom ye speak.

Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath,“ I do not know this man you are talking about!”

But he began to curse, and to swear,“ I don’t know this man of whom you speak!”

Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.

And Hazael said,“ Why does my lord weep?” He answered,“ Because I know the evil that you will do to the people of Israel. You will set on fire their fortresses, and you will kill their young men with the sword and dash in pieces their little ones and rip open their pregnant women.”And Hazael said,“ What is your servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?” Elisha answered,“ The Lord has shown me that you are to be king over Syria.”Then he departed from Elisha and came to his master, who said to him,“ What did Elisha say to you?” And he answered,“ He told me that you would certainly recover.”But the next day he took the bed cloth and dipped it in water and spread it over his face, till he died. And Hazael became king in his place.

In those days the Lord began to cut off parts of Israel. Hazael defeated them throughout the territory of Israel:
