What doth it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but have not works? can that faith save him?If a brother or sister be naked and in lack of daily food,and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?

seeing that through the proving of you by this ministration they glorify God for the obedience of your confession unto the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution unto them and unto all;while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, long after you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.
