Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

大祭司就撕裂自己的衣服，說：「難道我們還需要什麼見證人嗎？

大祭司自裂其衣、曰、安用他證乎、

祭司長自裂其衣曰、何用別證、

大祭司自裂其衣、曰、何用別證、

大司祭乃怒撕己衣曰：『吾人更須何證？

The high priest tore his clothes.“ Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.[ Which] when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard[ of], they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

And[ he that is] the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that[ was] over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with[ their] clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard[ it], that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

And it came to pass,[ that] when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast[ it] into the fire that[ was] on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that[ was] on the hearth.Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments,[ neither] the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.
