But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him,“ I place You under oath by the living God, to tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God.”Jesus* said to him,“ You have said it yourself. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Pilate questioned Him:“ So You are the King of the Jews?” And He answered him,“ It is as you say.”

Simon Peter answered,“ You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

The Jews answered him,“ We have a law, and by that law He ought to die, because He made Himself out to be the Son of God!”

are you saying of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,‘ You are blaspheming,’ because I said,‘ I am the Son of God’?

I said,“ I will keep watch over my ways So that I do not sin with my tongue; I will keep watch over my mouth as with a muzzle While the wicked are in my presence.”I was mute and silent, I refused to say even something good, And my pain was stirred up.

and said to Him,“ Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for someone else?”Jesus answered and said to them,“ Go and report to John what you hear and see:those who are blind receive sight and those who limp walk, those with leprosy are cleansed and those who are deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

and while being abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

which He will bring about at the proper time— He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He did not offer any answer.Then Pilate* said to Him,“ Do You not hear how many things they are testifying against You?”And still He did not answer him in regard to even a single charge, so the governor was greatly amazed.

according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

“ If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe;and if I ask a question, you will not answer.But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”And they all said,“ So You are the Son of God?” And He said to them,“ You say correctly that I am.”And then they said,“ What further need do we have of testimony? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth!”

Therefore Pilate said to Him,“ So You are a king?” Jesus answered,“ You say correctly that I am a king. For this purpose I have been born, and for this I have come into the world: to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice.”

Blessed are You, Lord; Teach me Your statutes.

and behold, a voice from the heavens said,“ This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

The Jews then surrounded Him and began saying to Him,“ How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

“ I will announce the decree of the Lord: He said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have fathered You.

I have become mute, I do not open my mouth, Because it is You who have done it.

And I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.”

Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:“ He was led like a sheep to slaughter; And like a lamb that is silent before its shearer, So He does not open His mouth.

And they cried out, saying,“ What business do You have with us, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

I and the Father are one.”The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him.

For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way.For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.Truly, truly, I say to you, a time is coming and even now has arrived, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.

But Pilate questioned Him again, saying,“ Do You offer nothing in answer? See how many charges they are bringing against You!”But Jesus said nothing further in answer, so Pilate was amazed.

and he entered the Praetorium again and* said to Jesus,“ Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

But He kept silent and did not offer any answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and* said to Him,“ Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”And Jesus said,“ I am; and you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”Tearing his clothes, the high priest* said,“ What further need do we have of witnesses?

Nathanael answered Him,“ Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel!”Jesus answered and said to him,“ Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”And He* said to him,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
