Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders.

『同人弟兄們，聖靈藉着大衛的口豫先說到猶大的那一段經、必須得應驗。這猶大是捉拿耶穌的人的領路者；

於是猶大領了兵隊、和祭司長跟法利賽人的差役，帶着燈籠火把和武器來到那裏。耶穌知道所要臨到自己的一切事，就出來，問他們說：『你們找誰？』他們回答他說：『拿撒勒人耶穌。』耶穌對他們說：『我就是。』把耶穌送官的猶大也同他們站着。耶穌一對他們說：『我就是』，他們就往後退，仆倒在地上。於是耶穌又詰問他們說：『你們找誰？』他們說：『拿撒勒人耶穌。』耶穌回答說：『我已經告訴你們「我就是」；你們既是找我，就放這些人走吧』。（這是要應驗他所說過的話說：『你所給了我的人，連一個我也沒有失掉。』）西門彼得有一把刀，就抽出來，擊了大祭司的僕人，砍掉他右邊的耳朵；那僕人名叫馬勒古。於是耶穌對彼得說：『收刀入鞘！父給了我的杯、難道我不喝麼？』

耶穌說着話的時候，那十二人中的一個、猶大、來了；有一大羣人帶着刀棒，從祭司長和民間的長老那裏、跟他一同來。把耶穌送官的給他們一個暗號，說：『我跟誰親嘴，誰就是他；你們要抓住他。』猶大隨即上耶穌跟前來，說：『老師你好啊！』便熱切地和他親嘴。耶穌對他說：『同伴哪，你為甚麼在這裏？』於是他們上前來，下手逮耶穌，抓住他。跟隨耶穌的有一個人伸手拔出刀來，擊打了大祭司的奴僕，削掉他的一個耳朵。當下耶穌對他說：『把你的刀收回原處；因為凡拿刀的必由刀而喪命。你想我不能求我父，而他現在不派十二團多的天使到我面前來麼？若是這樣，經上所說事情必須如此的話，怎能應驗呢？』當那時候耶穌對羣眾說：『你們出來，帶着刀棒要捉拿我，如同拿強盜麼？我天天坐在殿裏教訓人，你們並沒有抓住我呀！但這全部的事發生了，是要應驗神言人所寫的呀。』那時眾門徒都離開他，逃走了。

耶穌還說着話的時候，忽然來了一羣人，那十二人中的一個、叫猶大的、走在眾人前頭。他走近了耶穌那裏，要和耶穌親嘴；耶穌對他說：『猶大，你用親嘴把人子送官麼？』左右的人見所要臨到的事，就說：『主啊，我們使刀擊打可以麼？』其中有一個人擊打了大祭司的僕人，把他的右耳削掉。耶穌回答說：『你們且容許到這地步吧！』就摸那耳朵，醫治了他。耶穌對那些上來要拿他的祭司長守殿官和長老們說：『你們出來、帶着刀棒、如同拿強盜麼？我天天同你們在殿裏，你們並沒有下手拿我呀！然而這是你們、的鐘點，黑暗的權勢了！』

永恆主啊，我的敵人何其多呀！有許多人起來攻擊我。有許多人議論我說：『他是不能由上帝得救助的。』（細拉）

列國為甚麼彼此串通？萬族之民為甚麼謀算不能成功的事呢？地上君王列陣站着，眾人君一同陰謀，要敵擋永恆主，敵擋他所膏立的，說：

不要遠離我，因為我遭了難；走近我吧，因為沒有幫助我的。有許多公牛圍繞着我；有巴珊的雄壯公牛困住我。他們向我張開着嘴，像獅子在抓撕、在吼叫。
