“弟兄們，經上的話，就是聖靈藉著大衛的口，預言那領人捉拿耶穌的猶大的事，是一定會應驗的。

那時，猶大帶著一隊兵，還有祭司長和法利賽人的差役，拿著燈籠、火把、武器，來到園子裡。耶穌知道快要臨到他身上的一切事，就出來對他們說：“你們找誰？”他們回答：“拿撒勒人耶穌！”耶穌說：“我就是。”出賣耶穌的猶大和他們站在那裡。耶穌一說“我就是”，他們就往後退，倒在地上。他再問他們：“你們找誰？”他們說：“拿撒勒人耶穌！”耶穌回答：“我已經告訴你們，我就是了。如果你們來找我，就讓這些人走吧。”這應驗了耶穌說過的話：“你賜給我的人，我一個也沒有失落。”西門．彼得帶著一把刀，就拔出來，向大祭司的僕人馬勒古砍去，削掉他的右耳。耶穌對彼得說：“把刀收入鞘裡去！父給我的杯，我怎能不喝呢？”

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二門徒中的猶大，帶著一大群拿著刀棒的人來到，他們是祭司長和民間的長老派來的。出賣耶穌的人給他們一個暗號，說：“我跟誰親吻，誰就是他；你們可以抓住他。”他立刻前來對耶穌說：“拉比，你好。”跟著就與他親吻。耶穌對他說：“朋友，你來要作的事，快作吧！”於是那些人上前來，動手拿住耶穌，逮捕了他。有一個與耶穌在一起的人，伸手拔出刀來，砍了大祭司的僕人一刀，削掉他的一隻耳朵。耶穌對他說：“把你的刀收回原處！凡動刀的必死在刀下。你以為我不能求我的父，他就馬上給我派十二營以上的天使下來嗎？如果這樣，經上預言這事必須發生，怎能應驗呢？”那時，耶穌對眾人說：“你們帶著刀棒出來，把我當作強盜捉拿嗎？我天天坐在殿裡教導人，你們卻沒有逮捕我。但這整件事的發生，是要應驗先知書上的話。”那時，門徒都離開他逃跑了。

耶穌還在說話的時候，來了一群人，十二門徒中的猶大走在前頭，到了耶穌跟前要用嘴親他。耶穌對他說：“猶大，你用親吻作暗號出賣人子嗎？”左右的人見了，就說：“主啊，我們用刀砍好嗎？”他們中間有一個人砍了大祭司的僕人一刀，削掉他的右耳。耶穌說：“由他們吧！”就摸那人的耳朵，醫好了他。耶穌對那些前來捉拿他的祭司長、守殿官和長老說：“你們帶著刀棒出來，把我當作強盜捉拿嗎？我天天跟你們在殿裡，你們不向我下手；但現在是你們的時候了，也是黑暗掌權的時候了。”

耶和華啊！我的仇敵竟然這麼多。起來攻擊我的竟然那麼多。有很多人議論我說：“他從神那裡得不到救助。”（細拉）

列國為甚麼騷動？萬民為甚麼空謀妄想？世上的君王起來，首領聚在一起，敵對耶和華和他所膏立的，說：

求你不要遠離我，因為災難臨近了，卻沒有人幫助我。有許多公牛圍著我，巴珊強壯的公牛困住了我。他們向我大大地張嘴，像抓撕吼叫的獅子。
