耶穌稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說，如果有可能，讓那時刻離開他。

那時，他教導自己的門徒們，對他們說：「人子被交在人的手中，他們要殺害他。然後被殺之後，在第三天他要復活。」

耶穌說完了這些話，就舉目望天，說：「父啊，時候到了！願你榮耀你的兒子，好讓兒子也榮耀你，

「現在我的靈魂煩擾。我該說什麼呢？說『父啊，救我脫離這時刻』嗎？但我正是為了這時刻而來的。

耶穌回答他們，說：「人子得榮耀的時候到了！

那時候，加略人猶大，就是十二使徒中的一個，到祭司長們那裡去，要把耶穌交給他們。

這些話是耶穌在聖殿的奉獻箱附近教導人的時候說的。可是沒有人抓他，因為他的時候還沒有到。

「你們知道，過兩天就是逾越節，人子要被交出去釘上十字架。」

青年人哪，你當在年少時歡喜；在青春的日子裡，使你的心快樂！你當照著你心所願、眼所見的去行；但你要知道，神必為這一切事審判你。

有哪一位先知，你們的祖先不逼迫呢？他們殺了那些預言那義者要來的先知，現在你們又成為那義者的出賣者和凶手了。

然後，他回到門徒們那裡，對他們說：「你們還在睡覺、休息嗎？看哪，時候快到了！人子被交在罪人的手裡了。起來，我們走吧！看，那出賣我的人快到了！」

耶穌又對他們說：「你們為了要守住你們的傳統，竟然棄絕了神的命令！

逾越節前，耶穌知道他離開這世界回到父那裡去的時候到了。他一直愛世界上那些屬自己的人，並且愛他們到底。晚餐的時候，魔鬼已經把出賣耶穌的念頭放在加略人西門的兒子猶大的心裡。

因此他們想要抓耶穌，只是沒有人下手，因為他的時候還沒有到。

說：「看，我們現在上耶路撒冷去，人子將被出賣給祭司長們和經文士們。他們要定他死罪，並且要把他交給外邦人。他們要戲弄他、向他吐唾沫、鞭打他，並殺害他；然後在第三天，他要復活。」

他們坐著吃飯的時候，耶穌說：「我確實地告訴你們：你們當中有一個人要出賣我，他正與我一起吃飯。」
