Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,“ Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?

遂返、見門徒寢、謂彼得曰、西門、爾寢乎、爾不能警醒片時乎、

及返、見諸徒皆睡、呼伯鐸祿曰：『西門睡耶？竟弗克儆守半晷！

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.“ Simon,” he said to Peter,“ are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest thou not watch one hour?

Then He came and found them sleeping.“ Simon, are you sleeping?” He asked Peter.“ Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?

Then he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,“ Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake for one hour?

Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,“ What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?

who appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep; and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him.

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

So Absalom said to Hushai,“ Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?”

Peter said to Him,“ Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be.”Jesus said to him,“ Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”But he spoke more vehemently,“ If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all said likewise.

And when He returned, He found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him.Then He came the third time and said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.Then He said to them,“ Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“ If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, In which you trusted, they wearied you, Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

So the captain came to him, and said to him,“ What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.”
