And He* came and* found them sleeping, and* said to Peter,“ Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?

遂返、見門徒寢、謂彼得曰、西門、爾寢乎、爾不能警醒片時乎、

及返、見諸徒皆睡、呼伯鐸祿曰：『西門睡耶？竟弗克儆守半晷！

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.“ Simon,” he said to Peter,“ are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest thou not watch one hour?

Then He came and found them sleeping.“ Simon, are you sleeping?” He asked Peter.“ Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?

And He* came to the disciples and* found them sleeping, and He* said to Peter,“ So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?

who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure, which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who were standing with Him.

For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

But Absalom said to Hushai,“ Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?”

But Peter said to Him,“ Even if they all fall away, yet I will not!”And Jesus* said to him,“ Truly I say to you, that this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times.”But Peter repeatedly said insistently,“ Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing as well.

And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to say in reply to Him.And He* came the third time, and* said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough. The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow,and He said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you do not come into temptation.”

Now while the groom was delaying, they all became drowsy and began to sleep.

“ If you have run with infantrymen and they have tired you out, How can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace, How will you do in the thicket by the Jordan?

so then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.But since we are of the day, let’s be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.

So the captain approached him and said,“ How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god! Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish.”
