遂返、見門徒寢、謂彼得曰、西門、爾寢乎、爾不能警醒片時乎、

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.“ Simon,” he said to Peter,“ are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?

遂就門徒、見其寢、謂彼得曰、爾曹不能同我警醒片時乎、

在榮光中顯現、言耶穌將於耶路撒冷逝世之事、彼得與同在者、倦而寢、既寤、則見耶穌之榮、又見二人同立、

彼忍惡人如此之橫逆、爾當思之、免爾疲倦喪膽、

押沙龍謂戶篩曰、此爾待友之惠乎、何不與爾友偕行、

彼得對曰、眾雖躓蹶、我終不躓蹶、耶穌曰、我誠告爾、今夜鷄鳴二次之先、爾將三次言不識我、彼得力言曰、我雖與爾同死、必不言不識爾、眾門徒亦如是言、

既返、見門徒復寢、因其目倦、亦不知所對、耶穌三次返、語門徒曰、爾今寢且安矣、已矣、時至矣、人子見付於惡人手矣、

禱畢而起、就門徒、見其因憂而寐、謂之曰、何寢也、起而祈禱、免入誘惑、

新娶者來遲、皆假寐而寢、

主曰、爾與徒行者同趨、尚且困憊、焉能與乘馬者角力哉、在平康之地、爾可自恃、爾在約但河濱之茂林、將如之何、

是以我儕不可如他人之寢、當警醒謹守、因寢者寢於夜、醉者醉於夜、惟我儕為白晝之人、當謹守、以信與愛為甲衣之、以得救之望為盔戴之、

舟長舟長或作舵師就之曰、何為酣寢、起、禱爾之神、庶乎神眷顧我儕、以免死亡、
