曰、我心憂甚、瀕死矣、爾曹留此儆醒、

我心甚憂、瀕死矣、爾曹居此儆醒、

謂之曰、我心甚憂、幾至死矣、爾曹居此警醒、

告其徒曰：『吾心鬱悒、悲苦欲絕！爾曹留此儆守。』

“ My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them.“ Stay here and keep watch.”

“ My soul is very sad. I feel close to death,” he said to them.“ Stay here. Keep watch.”

And he said to them,“ My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch.”

He told them,“ My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

He said to them,“ I am deeply grieved to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake.”

And He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”

Then He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

And he saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death: abide ye here, and watch.

Then He said to them,“ My soul is swallowed up in sorrow— to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake.”

And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

He said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay alert.”

He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch.”

“ Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. (niv)

“ Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back— whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.What I say to you, I say to everyone:‘ Watch!’” (niv)

“ Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me, that the Lord brought on me in the day of his fierce anger? (niv)

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.“ Simon,” he said to Peter,“ are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (niv)

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. (niv)

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, (niv)

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (niv)

The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. (niv)

Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (niv)
