But Peter insisted emphatically,“ Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the others said the same.

But Peter would not give in. He said,“ I may have to die with you. But I will never say I don’t know you.” And all the others said the same thing.

But he said emphatically,“ If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same.

But he kept insisting,“ If I have to die with you, I will never deny you.” And they all said the same thing.

But Peter repeatedly said insistently,“ Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing as well.

But he spoke more vehemently,“ If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all said likewise.

But he spake exceeding vehemently, If I must die with thee, I will not deny thee. And in like manner also said they all.

But he kept insisting,“ If I have to die with You, I will never deny You!” And they all said the same thing.

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

But Peter insisted emphatically,“ Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.

But he spoke all the more,“ If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” They all said the same thing.

“ But why can’t I come now, Lord?” he asked.“ I’m ready to die for you.”

And all the people responded together,“ We will do everything the Lord has commanded.” So Moses brought the people’s answer back to the Lord.

Go yourself and listen to what the Lord our God says. Then come and tell us everything he tells you, and we will listen and obey.’“ The Lord heard the request you made to me. And he said,‘ I have heard what the people said to you, and they are right.Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever.

There are“ friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.

Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.

“ I am nothing— how could I ever find the answers? I will cover my mouth with my hand.I have said too much already. I have nothing more to say.”
