And he said unto them, This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Jehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.

As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have set free thy prisoners from the pit wherein is no water.

After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;and they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation unto our God who sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb.And all the angels were standing round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, These that are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and whence came they?And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come out of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.Therefore are they before the throne of God; and they serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun strike upon them, nor any heat:for the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a communion of the body of Christ?

And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,and madest them to be unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth.

And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.For where a testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him that made it.For a testament is of force where there hath been death: for it doth never avail while he that made it liveth.Wherefore even the first covenant hath not been dedicated without blood.For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses unto all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded to you- ward.Moreover the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry he sprinkled in like manner with the blood.And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, even our Lord Jesus,make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well- pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

For the Son of man also came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves.
