雖有軍兵紮營攻擊我，我的心也不害怕；雖然發動戰爭攻擊我，我仍舊安穩。

忽然而來的驚恐，你不要懼怕；惡人的毀滅臨到，你也不要恐懼；

我的肺腑，我的肺腑啊！我絞痛欲絕。我的心哪！我的心在我裡面顫抖，我不能緘默不語。我的靈啊！我聽見了號角的聲音，也聽見了戰爭的吶喊。毀滅的消息頻傳，因為全國盡都毀壞，我的帳棚忽然毀壞，我的幔子轉瞬破裂。我看見旗號要到幾時呢？我聽見號角的聲音要到幾時呢？

“這子民所稱為陰謀的，你們都不要稱為陰謀；他們所怕的，你們不要怕，也不要畏懼。

他必不因壞消息懼怕；他的心堅定，倚靠耶和華。

你們不要心驚膽怯，也不要因在境內聽到的謠言懼怕；因為今年有謠言傳來，明年也會有謠言傳來，境內有強暴的事，官長互相攻擊。

神是我們的避難所，是我們的力量，是我們在患難中隨時都可得到的幫助。因此，地雖然震動，群山雖然崩塌入海洋的深處，我們也不害怕。雖然海浪翻騰澎湃，雖然山嶽因波濤洶湧搖動，我們也不害怕。（細拉）

“你們心裡不要難過，你們應當信神，也應當信我。

我們都是必死的，像水潑在地上不能收回來一樣；但神並不取去人的命，反而設法使逃亡的人不致永遠離開他逃亡。
