This is the way the coming of the Son of Man will be.Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left.Two women will be grinding grain with a hand mill; one will be taken and one left.Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.

About the times and the seasons: Brothers and sisters, you do not need anything to be written to you.For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.He will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.

“ In the middle of the night there was a shout:‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’

“ After a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.

Remember, then, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come upon you.

The revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
