As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,

He did not speak to them without a parable. But privately he explained everything to his own disciples.

Now when they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

Then the disciples came to him and said,“ Why do you speak to them in parables?”

As he went along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea( for they were fishermen).Jesus said to them,“ Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.”They left their nets immediately and followed him.Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their boat mending nets.

He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.

Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John the brother of James, and led them privately up a high mountain.

As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two disciples who heard what John said and followed Jesus.He first found his own brother Simon and told him,“ We have found the Messiah!”( which is translated Christ).

Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him saying,“ Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John and led them alone up a high mountain privately. And he was transfigured before them,

Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said,“ Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask.”

He took Peter, James, and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.
